Welcome, Sophie! Thank you for taking some time out of your busy schedule to share some of your healthy tips with us. As a busy student on the go, what does a healthy breakfast look like for you?

Basically, anything that’s tasty and going to keep me feeling full for as long as possible! My favorites would have to be a bowl of zoats, aka; oats with grated zucchini, mixed thoroughly and topped with peanut butter, banana, a high protein yogurt, mixed berries and a sprinkle of granola. I also like a green smoothie and make mine with banana, spinach, zucchini, almond milk and a scoop of protein powder.

What a great combination! Oats and zucchini for breakfast sound amazing and is quite satisfying! What’s your go-to superfood?

Broccoli. It’s such an underrated superfood! Broccoli (broccoli sprouts in particular) are rich in sulforaphane, which according to some studies has been shown to help reduce cancer risk!

I love broccoli sprouts! I use them in a smoothie and they are a great all-around superfood! What are your must-have munchies?

Homemade protein balls with LOTS of peanut butter. I also really enjoy Cobs Salt and Vinegar Popcorn (SO addictive). For a treat, I like dark chocolate covered almonds.

Protein balls are my favorite for sustaining energy throughout the day! As a busy student, what does your daily routine look like?

  • 5:30 am wake up and have a coffee
  • 6:00 am gym (usually a boxing circuit or weights
  • 7:00 am shower and have breakfast
  • 8:00 am university or placement center with clients for the day
  • 4:00 pm work
  • 7:30 pm Dinner (if meal prepped on the weekend or whip up a quick healthy dinner)
  • 8:30 pm time for study or watch some Tube or Netflix
  • 9:30 pm BEDTIME!!!

What a full day! What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?

A hot shower, followed by an episode of something on Netflix (at the moment I’m watching “Dark”) accompanied by something sweet to snack on.

Sounds amazing! What does your fitness routine look like?

Boxing circuit. I am OBSESSED! I’ve been doing boxing for around 8 years and find it to be the most effective workout because it incorporates strength and cardio while helping me to let off some steam!

This sounds like a great stress reliever! Thank you again, Sophie, for sharing some of your favorite healthy options with us. For more on Sophie follow her on Instagram.
